Global Fabric Journey
Our super-simple order journey, its as easy as 1, 2 3
The three key questions are:
1.Where do you want to connect from?
Choose where you want to connect from, by planning your network deployment using our interactive location tool providing access to all our Fabric Locations and on-net data centres.
2. How do you want to connect?
Choose how you want to connect - buy and configure access from your sites to our service-agnostic fabric ports hosted in our Fabric locations that are co-located in Carrier Neutral Facilities. Then choose your network services to associate to your ports, splitting your bandwidth according to your needs.
3. What do you want to connect to?
Choose what you want to connect to from our easily searchable interface of external services/cloud connectivity from ~700 data centre locations, with either dedicated or shared connectivity. Then finalise your network by adding further services as needed from our Marketplace app – either BT products such as Virtual Network Functions, or partner products such as Megaport or Equinix.
This is underpinned by our five-step fully automated buying journey, available through our Global Fabric App or APIs.
Step 1- Visualise
Plan your network deployments with our interactive map location tool showing all our Fabric Locations, on-net data centres and access options to your sites. Use the map or search for an address to see the available port speeds, network services and expected cloud performance metrics (latency, jitter & packet loss).
Step 2 - Buy ports & access
To provide flexibility we’ve separated the physical port from the services that use it. You can size ports up to 100Gbps according to your total bandwidth needs, change port speeds, or burst on demand all with no commercial lock-in. Ports are deployed in near real-time, with optional resilience and are deliverable in predefined set of data centres or with our bundled access directly to your premise.
Step 3 - Connect to Cloud*
Easily connect via dedicated or shared connectivity to the world’s largest public cloud providers, your private clouds, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) providers — all available at the click of a button from over 700 data centre locations**.
Step 4 - Attach services
You can deploy and associate any combination of networks services (Internet, IPVPN*, E-line* and E-LAN*) or multiple of each service to ports. You can change both the types of services using the port and allocate port bandwidth to those services on demand with no commercial lock and remove services with the minimum commit on services as low as 1 day.
Step 5 - Add additional BT & Partner products
Finalise your network by adding further services from our Marketplace, where we offer you choice by bringing you the best of BT and that of our partners.
**Available in future releases. While we are getting ready, you can benefit from cloud connectivity by integrating Global Fabric with Connected Cloud Edge from BT. For further details see CCE or contact your BT account manager.
**Once the service has full launched in all metro locations.
