Provides data on UK-wide origin-destination matrix
Overview
The UK Trips Data API provides volumes of Middle Layer Super Output areas (MSOA) level origin destination trip connections at monthly and daily level for the UK population.
Key Features
This API provides data on:
Daily OD (no segment) -This dataset reports on UK-wide origin-destination matrix. It contains no segments, and therefore it shows the maximum number of daily connections.
Daily OD by mode of transport - This dataset reports on UK-wide origin-destination matrix by mode of transport:
Daily OD by journey purpose -This dataset shows a UK-wide origin-destination matrix by journey purpose:
Daily OD by mode and purpose - This dataset shows a UK-wide origin-destination matrix by mode of transport and journey purpose.
Monthly OD (no segment) - This data shows a UK-wide origin-destination matrix. This data set contains no segments, therefore shows the maximum number of monthly connections.
This data is updated monthly.
In compliance with GDPR, to protect the privacy of our customers and to prevent any identification of individuals, data is aggregate on the volume of population for a given segment. Any volume relating to users under 18 is removed, volume below 20 is marked at “IDE” (Insufficient Data Events) and all volumes are rounded to the nearest 10.
