Provides data on international journeys of UK roamers

Overview

The UK Traveller Data API provides volumes of international journeys, journey returns and stay durations made by UK roamers as a cross-border origin-destination report with a trip origin abroad and a destination within the UK for UK nationals. Data is provided by international operators with lead times of up to 3 weeks.    

 

Key Features

These datasets represent inter country flows between countries, particularly movement within the EEA & Schengen Area.

This API provides data on:

  • UK Travellers' Journeys- This dataset show international journeys made by UK roamers. They display as a sequence of visited countries, or, if only one country has been visited, as a single country. This data updates monthly 
  • UK Travellers' Stays - This dataset show the average duration of UK roamers’ stays abroad.
  • UK Travellers' returns- This dataset show cross-border origin-destination reports for UK roamers where UK travellers’ originate abroad, and reach a destination within the UK. This data is updated daily

In compliance with GDPR, to protect the privacy of our customers and to prevent any identification of individuals, data is aggregate on the volume of population for a given segment. Any volume relating to users under 18 is removed, volume below 20 is marked at “IDE” (Insufficient Data Events) and all volumes are rounded to the nearest 10.

  • The API will return a signed URL with a time expiry of 15 seconds 
  • Sandbox access is public for all registered members 
  • Production access is approved by your account manager on a case by case basis
