  • A merchant contracts with one of the BT trusted payment intermediaries
  • The trusted payment intermediary provides a voice shortcode, which the merchant advertises within their service along with pricing information, as a way for end users to consume the service
  • The end user dials the voice shortcode, uses the service and the charge is applied to their bill or deducted from their pre-pay credit
  • The end user receives a receipt via text and when their bill arrives at the end of the month, the charge is clearly listed under ‘Services from other companies’.
