How does it work?
A merchant contracts with one of the BT trusted payment intermediaries
The trusted payment intermediary provides a voice shortcode, which the merchant advertises within their service along with pricing information, as a way for end users to consume the service
The end user dials the voice shortcode, uses the service and the charge is applied to their bill or deducted from their pre-pay credit
The end user receives a receipt via text and when their bill arrives at the end of the month, the charge is clearly listed under ‘Services from other companies’.
