IMEI Lookup

  • Digital Identity

Retrieves the IMEI for the associated MSISDN.

Overview

An IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. Think of it as your phone's fingerprint — it's a 15-digit number unique to each device. We share IMEI numbers to enable tracking of smartphones that may be stolen or compromised

Our IMEI Lookup API can help. It gives the IMEI number that is linked to the phone number you send us. If this doesn't match the IMEI your customer is using, it can often be a sign of fraudulent activity

Key Features

  • Has your customers mobile device changed since you onboarded them?
  • Check a customer’s mobile phone account isn’t compromised.
  • Extra security for high-risk journeys such as setting up a new payee when banking
  • The IMEI number gives all sorts of device information, such as an indication as to whether the MSISDN is now associated with a burner phone as opposed to a high end mobile phone.

How does it work?
