SIM SWAP - CAMARA

  • CAMARA
  • Digital Identity

SIM Swap – CAMARA enables service providers to detect recent SIM changes on a mobile line, helping prevent account takeover and fraud during sensitive transactions.

The SIM Swap API provides real-time access to information about the most recent SIM card change associated with a mobile number. It supports two key functions: retrieving the exact timestamp of the last SIM swap, and checking whether a SIM change occurred within a specified time window (e.g. the last 24 hours). This is particularly useful for fraud prevention in scenarios like high-value transactions, password resets, or onboarding. The API is consent-based, privacy-preserving, and aligned with CAMARA and Open Gateway standards.

  • Checks if a SIM change occurred within a defined time window (e.g. last 48 hours)
